General Information
- While a fighter/thief still maintains his skills to kick and circle, he will not have the ability to bash his opponents.
- Because of the dexterous nature of both these classes, a fighter\thief is able to dodge, block, parry, and riposte.
- Stealing and picking locks are second nature for a fighter\thief. If trained in skill, they will not steal as well as a pure thief but can still steal a lot of useful armor and weapons!
Summary of Skills: backstab, circle, kick, picklocks, steal.
Lacking Pure Class Skills: no bash skill, cannot constantly wear Plate armor, cannot steal gold.
Armor Type: May wear up to Plate, but MUST wear Leather in order to perform thief skills. Heavy armor
Benefits from Stats
If you decide to make a fighter/thief, do keep in mind which stats affect what:
- Strength: Aids you in physical damage, thus backstab and your normal hitting. Since weapon damage is mostly what this class relies on (aside from a few kicks here and there), this is an important stat.
- Dexterity: Primarily important for circle. Higher DEX will lead to more successful circles. Will also affect the success rates of steal and dodge.
- Constitution: Pouring points into this stat is a good idea, since fighter/thieves get less damage reduction than your typical fighter (due to Leather armor). High CON will increase the amount of HP gained per level, giving you a better pool of health to survive a tough battle.
- Piety & Intellect: Both these stats are not so crucial to a fighter/thief. While they receive a substantial amount of MP for a fighting class, points in piety will not improve MP ticking or healing by much. Furthermore, there are not too many magical bonuses given for this class, and thus intellect should not be a priority (although it affects spell casting and ease in raising magic skills).
