Lich

A lich is the result of forbidden necromantic magics. Some mages, when they reach venerable age, set out to extend their lives forever. To do this, they magically transform themselves into a lich using powerful negative energies. The result is an evil and undead being, which is the bane of all life in its path.

General Information

  • Liches, like mages, rely on their spells to provide both, defense and offense. They have the fastest casting time of all classes.
  • Liches tap on their own life force for their magic, and thus do not have a mana pool like normal classes. But are also able to drain life (similar to deathknights) from other living creatures to restore their life force for further casting.
    • This ability will be lost of the lich does not stay of evil alignment.
  • They may also periodically draw on the positive energy of the world around them to regenerate their own life force.
  • A lich is averse to all healing magics. No such spells will work for them, and may even harm them.
  • Liches are, in a way, reborn into a new body. It is feeble because of this and will take more damage from physical attacks then a normal individual. However, since they are essentially magical undead creations, they will naturally resist-magic.
  • They will experience all characteristics of the undead.

Armor type: Cloth, no rings allowed.
Restrictions: Must sustain evil alignment for optimal performance.
Summary of Skills: drain, regenerate, natural resistance to magic.

Benefits from Stats

Suggested prime requisites are in magenta.

  • Constitution: As mentioned above, liches do not work on any mana. Thus, CON is the main controller of how much you will be able to cast since you are limited to how much HP you have.
  • Intellect: Dictates how long your stun spell will last. For liches, 18-21 INT will give you a 2 cast stun cycle (stun, cast, cast). 22-24 INT will yield a 3 cast stun cycle (stun, cast, cast, cast). 25+ INT will give you the ability to cast 4 times between stuns. It will also slightly helps with casting on monsters with more INT.
  • Strength: Good for extra physical damage. Liches do not get a particularly good bonus for having this stat, but you will still deal more physical damage between casts with a bit of STR.
  • Piety+Dexterity: Dexterity is a good booster for dodging, but should not be depended on because liches are not considered as agile fighters. Furthermore, liches does not have mana points, PTY is useless for them. Points should not be wasted on PTY at all.
