Werewolves are the render of flesh, the bane of mankind, and creatures of the full moon. While they often travel in packs in order to hunt their victims, they are also strong by themselves since they are armed with their razor-sharp claws.

General Information

  • Werewolves are very low maintenance as far as armor and weapons go. All their attacks are done through shredding enemies with their claws. Only when monsters require enchanted weapons will wolves need to wield themselves with enchanted claws.
  • Werewolves innately heal faster due to their wild nature.
  • They hold the ability to fight in a wild frenzy, increasing their damage and dexterity.
  • When faced with many enemies, a werewolf can let out a blood-curling howl to momentarily incapacitate opponents.
  • Werewolves can maul their opponents in the beginning of a battle, knocking them to the ground and stunning them for a short duration. This is somewhat like the bash skill.
  • Because they are magical in nature, werewolves are not harmed by normal weapons and attack techniques. Magic spells or enchanted weapons are required to harm them. But note that they are extremely vulnerable to silver.
  • To aid their skills in hunting enemies, they have searching and tracking abilities that are comparable to those of a ranger.

Armor type: Mostly none. There are a few pieces of werewolf-only gear that are Cloth.
Restrictions: Only allowed to use claw weapons.
Roleplaying Tips: No organization across Derlith will accept a werewolf into their ranks. Just as well, a werewolf wants nothing to do with any order but his own pack, and he will generally shun all civilization. It is also well known that werewolves detest vampires and will kill them on sight.
Summary of Skills: frenzy, howl, find tracks, maul, always detects invisiblity, enchanted claws (+1) at night (level 19), pack damage bonus.

Benefits from Stats

Suggested prime requisites are in magenta.

  • Strength: The main determinant of how much damage your claws will do. Because you are mostly relying on them, it is important that you load your werewolf up with this stat.
  • Constitution: Werewolves are not exactly known for being healers. Consequently, it is a good idea to have more CON, which is also enhanced by their fast natural healing abilities.
  • Dexterity: While frenzy will help raise this stat, having DEX will also help you dodge. Because werewolves are bad at healing with magic, it is good to be able to maneuver around some of your enemy's attacks.
  • Piety + Intellect: Because of their pure physical strength, werewolves are not as known for being adept in the realms of magic. Their casting time and MP pool do not aid useful casting in combat, and thus it is not recommended to use points in these stats.
